Late Prof. George started his carrier as junior engineer in PWD and later joined as lecturer in civil in engineering. He was Professor in Civil Engineering during the year 1965. He took his M. Sc [Engg] in Public Health from the College of Engineering, Guindi, Madras and a Post Graduate Diploma in Sanitary Engineering from Netherlands Universities Foundation, Holland. He had done a training Program for Indian Engineering Educators in University of Wisconsin, Madison, U.S.A. and had served Mara Institute of Technology, Shah Alam, Malaysia for six years.
Prof. George was Principal of the Engineering College at Trichur during the period 1983 -87. He was very keen sportsman and was captain of the Basket Ball team at College of Engineering, Trivandrum during 1954 - 55.
