The late was the first Post-graduate Professor in the College of Engineering, Trivandrum when M.Sc. (Engg) course was started here. His specialisation was in Surveying obtained from Glasgow, U.K. He became Principal of the Govt. Engineering College, Thrissur in 1963 and then Principal of the College of Engineering, Trivandrum in 1967. In 1969 he became Director of Technical Education. After retirement he worked as Principal of M.A. College of Engineering, Kothamangalam. He then retired to spend a peaceful life in his native place at Puthupally, Kottayam.

Prof. T. C. George was a very friendly and admirable person with plenty of public relations and leadership qualities.
