The late Prof. M.P. Mathew was Post graduate Professor of Mechanical Engineering during the early 1960's and known for his structured lectures, meticulous teaching and stentorian voice, he was a pillar of strength in the institution. He was Head of the Mechanical Engg. Dept. during the period when the college was shifted from the old campus to the new one. His sudden demise on board a flight to Cochin in 1966 left a deep void in the minds of his innumerable students, colleagues and friends.
