Alumni Association of College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET), of those currently(and previously) based at the Garden City of Bangalore.
CET was established in 1939 as the first Engineering College in the then Travancore State. The institution owes its foundation to the bold and inspired vision of Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the then Maharaja of Tranvancore. Celebrating the 70th Anniversary during 2009-10, CET continues to be a premier institution in South India with its alumni in every major location across the Globe.
As the technology epicentre of India (and back office of the world), Bangalore hosts one of the largest such groups of CET alumni. Tracing back, it is interesting to note that the first getogether of this elite group happened on a sunny afternoon early 1988, under the green cover of Cubbon Park near the red historic public library. Very active in the initial 5 years of existence with regular meets, things seemed to have slowed down a bit in the 90s and 00s, though some of the veterans continued to connect through KEA (savoring those Onasadhyas!) and some occasional CETAAB meets. Visit our album here to relish some of those nostalgia!
CETAA Bangalore successfully hosted the 2nd "Global CETAA Meet" at Bangalore from 21st to 23rd Dec 2012.
